Our plan is to offer the students an opportunity to get away from everyday life and enjoy some fun and fellowship in an offsite relaxing location at least once per school year. Adult volunteers are needed to coordinate these retreats. Email Lisa Hunke if you are interested in volunteering in this capacity.

Music is a major part of young people's lives. At The Edge, we would like to open the world of contemporary christian music to the students. Music enhances the environment and encourages the students to participate and feel comfortable. We need volunteers who would be willing to play piano or guitar at Edge Nights, retreats and special events. Email Lisa Hunke if you are interested or need more information about music for The Edge.

We need volunteers who could video our Edge Nights and special events. We sometimes need taped impromptu interviews (man-on-the-street style) with the students to create entertaining and thought-provoking videos for Edge Nights and parent meetings. Even though the students sometimes act shy when someone is videotaping, they LOVE to see themselves on screen. We would also like to create an informational and promotional video to show parents and other parishes. This is the perfect volunteer position for someone with creative technical talents. For those adults who want to be involved but may not want to lead as the Core team does, we need volunteers to be facilitators. This would involve coming early to the meetings to help set up, helping clean up after the meetings, preparing food, serving food, transportation, supervision, etc. Please email us if you are available to volunteer as an Edge Night Facilitator.

And of course we could not carry on The Edge Program without our financial supporters. The expenses for Edge Nights, retreats and other special events are always high and we like to budget so that not all this expense falls on the shoulders of the Edge parents. It costs money to train our volunteers. There are some students who would like to join Edge but do not have the financial means to do so. Our financial supporters help with Edge scholarships as well as provide the funding for needed supplies and equipment.
